MSM Deals with Mistakes
Via Gordon, The Environmental Republican, comes an Editor's Note in the LA Times.
Someone at the LA Times screwed up. Badly. A report was written and virtually every point in it was subsequently corrected or retracted.
The LA Times fired the writer. Gordon asks whether any of his editors or sub-editors were disciplined. Probably not, but transparency and the ability to admit a mistake (albeit after causing damage) is commendable.
Are you listening Reuters?
