Kazakhstan to sue Borat

It appears that Sascha Baron Cohen's character "Borat" has upset the Kazakhstan government.

Cohen, better known as "Ali G" has been threatened by the Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry who have suggested they may sue the English comedian as one of his fictitious characters, Kazakhstani journalist Borat Sagdiyev, ridicules its people.

Reuters have more.

Censorship! Freedom of speech! Support for an artist who exposes racism! All pet issues that could be addressed by UK Indymedia. Unfortunately they are all tied up trying to boycott Israel , prove Israel was behind the Amman bombing despite the facts, and blow up their own government.

As Borat would say, "not very nice"!

Comments:
'"We do not rule out that Mr. Cohen is serving someone's political order designed to present Kazakhstan and its people in a derogatory way," Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Yerzhan Ashykbayev told a news briefing.'

Who do you think they mean?

Borat should never appear on TV again. I don't find him offensive, he just isn't funny.
